The manufacturing parameters are used to define the settings that will be applied when processing a work ticket.
Each work ticket will have a parameter automatically applied to it. The parameter which is applied is selected by comparing the nature of the work ticket to the settings defined in the Parameter Hierarchy.
1. Parameter Hierarchy
To determine which manufacturing parameter to apply to a work ticket, Paradigm checks the fields defined in the Parameter Hierarchy on all of the manufacturing parameters, from the bottom to the top.
The first hierarchy field which complies with the work ticket will result in that particular manufacturing parameter being selected.
If you wanted to have the same manufacturing parameter settings applied to every work ticket across your company, then create one manufacturing parameter and only complete the company field in the Parameter Hierarchy.
Always link new work tickets to this company to apply the manufacturing parameter.
You may want to have different manufacturing parameter settings applied to work tickets depending on whether Work Center 01 or Work Center 02 is manufacturing the work ticket. Create two manufacturing parameters and complete the company field and the work center field in the Parameter Hierarchy.
Paradigm will apply the correct manufacturing parameter depending on the work center that is specified on the work ticket.
2. Parameter Settings
The parameter settings include the following fields which impact the processing of the work ticket:
- Conversion Supplier
- Recovery GL Account
- FG Reconcile Segment
Work In Progress and Warehouse Settings
- WIP GL Account
- WIP Inventory Account

- By Product Warehouse
