Attaching Files to Documents and Records Overview

You upload files directly onto tasks, documents and records throughout Paradigm. Directly uploaded files are automatically saved to the File Warehouse and linked currently active task, document and record where you initiated the upload from.

1. Upload and Link an Attachment to any Document or Record

  • Tasks
  • Customers and Suppliers
  • Contact People
  • Employees
  • Sales Opportunities
  • Quotations
  • Sales Order
  • Invoices
  • Delivery Notes
  • Work Tickets

2. How to Link Attachments to Tasks

  • Select the task line you want to attach a file to. You can select a task line on any of the task grids in Paradigm.
  • In the right-hand pane where the Task Detail Box appears, click on the  Attachments tab.

  • To upload and attach a new file to the task, click on the  Add From File button on the Attachments toolbar.
  • To attach an existing file to the task, click on the link button on the attachments toolbar and select a file from the Paradigm File Warehouse.

3. Upload and Link Files to Documents and Records

  • Select the document or record you want to attach a file to.
  • Click on the Attachments tab.

  • To upload and attach a new file to the task, click on the  Add From File button on the Attachments toolbar.
  • To attach an existing file to the document or record, click on the link button on the attachments toolbar and select a file from the Paradigm File Warehouse.
