Define Default Data

Set up required default data that can be used on various documents and records across multiple modules within Paradigm.  

The following default data can be set up by navigating to Administration → Setup.

Ensure that data is populated under Currencies and Tax Types from Sage Evolution. These two fields are not editable.

1. Currencies

Currencies and exchange rates are maintained in Sage Evolution and are not editable.  You can view the exchange rate by double clicking on currency.  The buy and sell rate for purchase and sell documents can be viewed.

2. Tax Types

Tax Types are maintained in Sage Evolution and are not editable.  They can only be viewed in Paradigm.

3. Continents

Continents can be created where your contacts reside. Add new continents using the icon on top left of screen or CTRL + N.

4. Countries

Add all the countries of all the contacts that you interact with and link each country to one of the continents you created. Add new countries using the icon on top left of screen or CTRL + N.

5. Provinces

Add all of the provinces linking each of them to their respective countries.  Add new provinces using the icon on top left of screen or CTRL + N.

Connecting your data to locations is useful if you require reporting and analysis functionality by specific regions.

6. Departments

Create each of the departments across your organisation and link each of your employees to their respective departments.

7. Sites

Setup sites within your company or projects.
